Sony Ericsson today announced the Z550, a phone for those who prefer style and good looks. Its 1.3 Megapixel camera has a 4x digital zoom can take videos as well as photos.
The Z550 has 20MB of memory, but this can be expandable to 1GB. Stored photos can be shared using MMS, Bluetooth™ or e-mail.
It also connects easily to a PC for fast transfer of multimedia files and synchronisation of the phone book and calendar. The phone also has full HTML internet browsing and optional Bluetooth™ headset and car-handsfree kit.
There are two variants; the Z550i Tri-Band (GPRS 900/1800/1900) for Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and the Z550c Tri-Band (GPRS 900/1800/1900) for Mainland China. It starts shipping during the third quarter of 2006.
