Sony Ericsson announces the V630i, a multimedia-oriented phone built for Vodafone. The 3G phone features advanced music and multimedia functions, such as personalised music channels and mobile blogging.
One of the V630i’s best features is the interactive Radio DJ service, which gives you the ability to create your very own music channels by rating streamed music tracks. The ratings then are used to personalise the music channels to your taste. You also have the ability to buy the tracks you like using the same service - clever.
The phone supports all the well-known music formats, which means it is easy to import more music from your PC’s music library or CD collection. It is supplied with a 256MB Memory Stick Micro™, but can be expanded.
Other multimedia features include a 2 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth™ A2DP Stereo, a full HTML browser and an extra large, RSS Reader, Email and a 1.9-inch colour screen. There is also PC-synchronisation, which keeps the phone book and calendar up to date, and several productivity applications.
The V630i (GSM 900/1800/1900MHz, UMTS 2100MHz) is expected to be available to Vodafone users in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific in June 2006.
