Vonage Wireless Internet PhoneVonage, the US-based internet telephony company, has just launched a wireless internet (Wi-Fi) phone for the UK.

The Wi-Fi phone works by connecting to any available wireless Internet network (Hotspot), such as at many airports, hotels, coffee shops or even at home. The phone works worldwide in a similar way at no extra cost. Total Hotspots allows you to easily discover the location of many hotspots around the world.

The recent partnership between Vonage and The Cloud, Europe’s largest Wi-Fi operator, gives the wireless internet phone unrestricted access to a large number of hotspots including all major UK airports, First Great Western train stations, Coffee Republic outlets, Little Chef cafes, Swallow Hotels, as well as over 4,000 pubs and regional hotels across the UK. This should increase signal availability considerably.
