DVBThe UK is anticipating to become the first country in Europe to have a comprehensive mobile television network. Users will be able to watch a wide variety of programs wherever and whenever they wish.

Similar to conventional television, users will be able to freely tune in and out of channels without the need to download video clips.

The service is most likely to rely on DVB-H, or digital video broadcasting - handheld, as the underlying technology. O2, the mobile operator, is currently involved with trials of the technology.

Consumers around the London area have expressed interest and could be ready to pay around £8 per month for the new service.
